All excited as it was the first rally of the season! Bike loaded and raring to go! Riding down to the rally in High gale winds and torrential rains! My bike decided that it didn't like the rain 50 miles into the journey! So it decided to stop on its own free will! 2 hours standing at the side of the road soaked to the bone and boots feeling like little paddling pools! Cam the road captain with his big white van rescued me! Friday night was a bit of a blur from the moment I arrived! I think I had too much of a sugar rush in the van! LOL!! The guys had a ride out on the Sat! I didnt go cause my bike was probably going to take a strop again! Sat night the band was great! Everyone had a good time!! Everyone was dancing and having fun! Cam was in a wee world of his own! Steve was in party mode where he was shaking his booty on the dance floor and being a party animal! Rab went through his party mode stages all the way to stage 4! (this was the fist time I seen this! lol! ) All in all a good rally apart from the weather!! xx

Okay this is the first time I will be meeting the Dutch Aardvarks!! plus, I'm an 'Oink' so expecting some embarrassing Shits & Giggles.
My adventure began at the airport. Along with the fact that I've never flown.. I have also never visited an airport before so.. needless to say I was quite excited. :jester:
For every other passenger but me, it was a boring & tedious wait in the ever re-emerging lines of queues for luggage(I was carrying the least, I won't gloat as I stopped laughing later), flight confirmations (we had 2 for good measure)and passport identity checks (Rab could've passed as me easily;) ) Did I mention the bribery attempt?
For me it was a run up to a momentous moment.. I was going to fly..
Why? I may suddenly discover a great internal fear of flying!! Err doubt it, mainly it's that I have taken every other form of public transport and while using, they have all broken down DUM DUM DUMMMMMM!!!
I developed no such fear, in fact I developed the giggles, somewhat similar to a 16 yr old (but they'd be too cool so maybe an 8yr old) and recorded the whole take-off event, from the windows perspective including the stranger in the window seat so now everyone can hear me screech as the wheels left the runway at a gillion mph!!
It felt bloody awesome!!!!!!!

Visiting Holland & meeting the Dutch guys was great and we received some awesome hospitality from SAS. In the evening He took us all out to a huge venue/club where we bought rocket fuel with plastic tokens, smoked inside, yelled amidst the loud tunes which even if you were universally lingual you wouldn't understand, made Dutch friends one of whom gave me a badge as a gift (which Superted took responsibility for), got proper drunk on multitudes of half pints and generally fell about.. ahem... I generally fell about taking the odd casualty with me.
All was well, I was hammered and crashed soon after we returned back to sas's and i didn't need the bucket i hasten to add..

Next morning is blurred and there is tasty breakfast on offer but I left my appetite somewhere..perhaps I left it with my gifted t-shirt.. Sorry.....

Some coffee and painkillers later we were ready to have some fun again.
We arrived at a very cool clubhouse and erected the tents in the snow... Met the Dutch Clan and partied.
Soon came the time to present gifts and for Steve to introduce myself as the Oink. I waited in trepidation.. stripped naked? Hung upside down? Fed copious amounts of rocket fuel in as short a time as poss? Thankfully this was not the case and we are all actually a fantastic & friendly bunch. I was in fact presented with a rubber (and promisingly sweaty) Pig Head Mask which I joyously popped over my head & paraded around and drank through and occupied numerous photographs with!! All was well, even when my 2nd 'gift' came to light. This came in the form of a 'bell, a service' involving the utterance of "I need a drink so you will bring me one" & "Hay did you know my bottle is empty?" adorned around my neck meaning no escape.. I was at the mercy of everyone. It was all good and each time I got you a drink I got one too, Happy Days!!

The time came for me to slink back to my tent in the snow, where i spent a shivery night in my rubbish sleeping bag which lead to the morning that coveted the worst hangover in my life...
Yup indeedy, my time in Holland had broken me!!

I again hasten to add that Me, The Oink with the hellish hangover wasn't the one that felt the need to sleep during the flight back.. Superted... Eddie... (Elpresidenty excluded as he's the driver).

All in all a superb weekend was had and I look forward to the Dutch Aardvark visit to Scotland to return the Fine Hospitality & Great Times!!!

Shits & Giggles
Rubber Woman lover of rocket fuel!!

Hearing only good things about this rally we thought we’d go and see what it was all about. A pretty horrible Friday arrived and wed decided all to set of around 6 ish Cara Cam Scotty Andy and Steve Mac in `The Dutchman` (Cams van) due to an inability to ride a bike round a corner hence falling of breaking the Tuono and damaging his ego, so off we set the van getting a head start as the bikes were bound to catch up ………weren’t they Nah a bit of dodgy weather mucky roads and eventually Andys Harleys clutch deciding it didn’t want to play and Caras Ninja developing a misfire meant that Steve Mac had booked in and cracked a beer open by the time the party crew arrived, ah well all safe if a bit wet and miserable, so tents up all booked in and we had a look around. Basically a field behind the village hall in Clatt with a marquee pretty good set up, bar hot, food pig roast and another bar so all the makings of a good weekend. After a couple of liveners we were off to see the bands on the Friday a good night had b all but the weather wasn’t improving anyway roll on Saturday A few sore heads greeted the….. you’ve guessed it ….wet Saturday morning, we all grabbed a bit of brekkie a full on artery hardening fry up, just the job. A look around the rest of the site fantastic tricked up Speed Triple and a cool trike `The Party Prowler` ones that stick in my mind also spent a bit of time critiquing the peeps trying out the wheelie machine although there was plenty of criticism none of us were brave enough to give it a go.. It time that Rab a Lab A Ding Dong decided to move his bike around to the field where his tent was pitched only a hundred yards away but the entrance had turned into a scene from a WW1 trench, `Famous last word Ill probably drop it LOL` yep you’ve guessed it 5 minutes later somebody mentioned your mates the one with the Hornet ! Yeah! He’s just slipped over in the mud Oh dear the concern was immediately obvious as we all doubled up with laughter always the attention seeker. Anyway he was covered and so was his bike and he only brought the one set of jeans. Idea! well go replenish the beer stock and pick you up a pair, job done, two hours later the beer arrived and so did an Asda pair of £4 jeans a size 12 Eh yep lasses bike so lasses jeans lol. Saturday night was upon us the night started with a definite challenge to drink the stocks of wine red and white lager bitter the list goes on resulting in a very merry bunch rocking through Saturday night to an AC/DC cover band, great stuff. A wet Sunday seen us pack up, get the van covered in mud getting out the field and we said our goodbyes and headed off home guess what weather improved and it stopped raining typical.

Although be fair he didn’t know about one of them. Let me explain There we all were minding our own business looking forward to a small bijou do for Andys 40th round his house, a quiet affair a few beers, great stuff.. Then out the blue arrived the E Mail from Helen `SURPRISE` partyyyyyyyy Whoop Whoop the Saturday before. Cam got a band sorted out and Helen basically done all the rest. There was a couple of dodgy moments where you forget the surprise bit and are just about to say `see you Saturday` Doh but we all managed to keep stum even John lol. So the great day arrived and we all piled into the rugby club in Cupar it was full off the good the bad and the ugly, friends from the diving club, old buddies from his time out in Germany, old Aardvarks all sorts, all waiting with a bit of anticipation for the man himself. Off course with any surprise party theres always an element of doubt has he sussed it is he just playing along……….well I can categorically say Andy didn’t know a thing, in he walked, gone was the trademark waistie and jeans replaced by a very fashionable pair of Chino Arrrgggh he definitely didn’t know, he was in `lets have a meal with the girlfriends parents type outfit` (Helens cover story) Andy was dumbstruck when he walked in that room. I don’t think he could quite take it in everywhere he looked another blast from the past great stuff . A great night a big thank you and well done to Helen , he`ll never trust you again. Happy Birthday Andy its all down hill now.

It was a bit quiet initially I think a lot of people were suffering from the previous night partying but it wasn’t long before we were making our introductions meeting the rest of the rally goers, A lot of familiar faces and we new then this had the makings of a good night . So we got ourselves a table in the function room and set about a bit of power drinking and a bite to. Wed also met a couple of the girls from the Kingdom bikers who we knew were going and asked them to join us. Cam went to register so wed get our Rally badges and our nip of whiskey we all got our badges and Cam got the nips of whiskey x 10. He’s bad enough when he’s sober never mind when on the Whiskey any fast forward a couple of hours John had met lots of knew friend and managed to come by a wig that he was sporting at a jaunty angle at least it stopped him asking people! well the ladies to feel his fluffy hair! The band was good a bunch of young lads doing some of there own stuff and a few classic cover this was then followed by Trogs disco which got the place dancing. A break was had for some prize giving the usual bit of fun furthest travelled etc etc and then we heard it Flying Aardvarks ! ! El Presidenti took the stage we`d only took the best club turnout. Our second rally trophy. It really was a good do well done to the Special K and thank you for the invite Anyway a late night was had by all a few later than others and a few questions lie unanswered why was Rabs socks spread over the campsite? why was there nobody in Speedy and Steve Macs tent? well there was somebody but not them ? Mmmmmm What was so big? Anyway I’m sure these will be answered lol After a good breakfast we packed up our muddy damp tents and said our goodbyes and made for home a great night out cant wait for the next one.

It really was a nice day and as we rode along we took in the the views of Scotland at its best stopped for a brew and a bit of a warm up and then headed up to Braemar. A bit surreal at one point really as we passed the ski runs, it was wierd riding past the snow covered verges with people skinig alongside. So the road opened up again and we motored along nicely stopping for lunch at the cafe in Braemar. Great litte stop this always a cheery welcome. We ordered our lunch and tried to decipher Rays texts as he`d missed the meet up time but reckoned he would catch up, Yeah what on a lasses bike JOKE No kidding 2 mins later he turned up you cant mistake the whistle of that street triple. He must have been motoring. So before it got to late we finished our lunch and had a run back down through the glen. Cams CB1300 which I had borrowed again was really going well and sounded gorgeous as that Akrapovic system BOOMED out. Good company nice weather great scenery and a brew at Rays to round of the day, life doesnt get any beter. Thanks Peeps

I thought the Queen was the only one to have two birthdays, anyway Scotty, Steve Mac, Cara, Sean and Andy decided to have a run out to blow the cobwebs away. Scotty kids were also excited about coming on the ride out I dont know if that was the thought of a ride in the sidecar or the promise of an Ice cream in Anstruther. A steady run down through Crail where we found out the road was closed ! well thats what the signs said lol. Roads were still a bit gritty, needs a good downpour to wash it all away but I guess we wont have to wait long for that we are in Scotland after all. A couple of bags of chips and Ice creams later looking out over the harbour it was time to go and we came back into St andrews over the hill, nice little road although Sean wasn`t liking the salt and, I swear you could almost see it rusting as we rode along JOKE! It was getting a bit cold as the sun was going down it was about 4.30 by then, role on the clocks going forward. All in all an enjoyable day, a cheeky litle ride out with sausage butties and a brew back at Scotty`s courtesy of Janet, rounded the day off perfectly, Thanks Janet.

We contacted the guys down at the Special K MCC who have a rally in February, we’d met some of them on the party boat to Holland a year and a half ago where we were off to different Treffens, had a few beers and a laugh so thought it might be good to catch up. Job done tickets arrived in the post and eight of us were set for a run down to the borders. S February soon came round but due to work etc getting in the way we couldn’t leave till Saturday morning, it was a bit of miserable rainy day to be honest but we were in the party mood so waterproofs on and an 11 0 clock meet was arranged. Nothings ever that simple though Steve Macs Tuono wouldn’t start thought it was a dud battery after the winter lay up (£600 later it was a bit more than the battery `Italian character` eh, anyway that’s another story) So Big Cam came to the rescue and the Bad Boy was a loaner, 1300cc of muscle bike Happy days. With that little glitch dealt with we were on our way. Picking up Jimmy on the way past Kirkcaldy we only got as far as the Forth bridge where off course we had to stop for the mandatory Maccy D`s. We decided to pop into Edinburgh Honda on the way and picked up a spare battery for the Aprilia and had a look at a load of new bikes we couldn’t afford. It was great being on the bikes again after some pretty shitty weather, Cara on her sidecar outfit, amazing how that thing blasts along especially as it was carrying the majority of our luggage, I reckon its the coolest bike in the club ! So only about a half hour from Edinburgh we arrived about half three nice timing to set up the tents before it was dark and find the bar Hic! It was a bit of a miserable day and the ground was pretty water logged where we were camping and turning to mud pretty rapidly but we all got our tents pitched without a hitch got changed and made it to the bar for the first round.
